IWC Portofino Second Hand & Sale

IWC

International Watch Co.

Behind the somewhat unimpressive name IWC hides the Swiss luxury watch manufacturer International Watch Company. Since 1868 the label in Schaffhausen produces high-quality chronographs of the extra class like the models Portugieser, Portofino, Aquatimer or engineer. All IWC watches are characterized by timeless elegance and simplicity. In 1980 IWC together with Ferdinand Alexander Porsche developed the first titanium chronograph ever. The German football team works with the watchmaking team, so no one less than world champion coach Joachim Löw carries an IWC on the wrist. The company is connected to the world of sport. The watchmaking company also maintains a partnership with MERCEDES AMG PETRONAS Formula OneTM. Since the cooperation with Ferdinand A. Porsche, a special collaboration has been established: IWC Porsche Design.

Catchy’s IWC Brand Guide

iwc portugies chronograph

Portuguese – a classic since the 1930s until today

If you want to be a great individualist, we would like to introduce you to the Portuguese, or even better, the Portuguese Siderale Scafusia. Because each model is manufactured on request and is a real individual piece. It is probably the most exclusive and complicated mechanical watch IWC has ever invented. The Portuguese family has 17 models with different nuances to choose from, from timelessly simple and elegant to sporty. With a vintage Portuguese the best of this classic can be felt. In the 1930s, two Portuguese businessmen wanted watches with the precision of marine chronometers. The older the watch specimen, the more you feel the power of innovation.

Aquatimer – the combination of functionality and elegance

Do you feel more comfortable in nature than everyone else? So we have the right accessory for you: the IWC Aquatimer. Here too, history and the present have a profound symbiosis. In 1967, IWC created a watch that was waterproof to 20 bar. This congenial litter was developed further and in 1982 the chronograph already held a water pressure of 200 bar. Today, the Aquatimer shines in the brilliancy which every IWC distinguishes and to this it is of a robustness, which is unequaled in the watch world.

Portofino – simply the best

If you are looking for casual luxury, the Portofino will decorate your wrist. If you tell me, I would like to explore the universe of the IWC watches slowly and climb the summit only gradually, so name a Portofino your own, then hot as coronation, the Portuguese Siderale Scafusia, your companion. The Portofino stands for a light feeling of life and breathes the indescribable spirit of Southern Europe. Again, the older the model, the more lively is the spirit of inspiration, which in the seventies the Portofino created.

Engineer – not only distinctive and imposing, but also uncompromisingly characteristic

Unmistakably expressive design meets your taste, look at the engineer. No IWC can see their quality as clearly as you. The connection to racing is especially given here. The design is characterized by carbon fibers, ceramics and titanium. 16 different models belong to the engineer family. At the dial, it was the design of the Formula 1 TM steering wheels, which inspired the IWC team to create.
